Our Grenada Webcam1 is located 300 feet above the Lagoon, facing towards St.George's on the island of Grenada in the Caribbean. Webcam 2 is located in the same area, but will be zoomed into different parts of the town and lagoon. Webcam 3 is located on the Grand Anse Beach at Native Spirit Scuba, and points towards the north along the beach and towards the cruise ship terminal. New Webcam 4 is located at the Flamboyant Hotel, overlooking Grand Anse Beach & St.George's.
The images on all three cameras will refresh every 60 seconds from 5.30 am - 7.00 pm.
Over the weekend, we decided to take a hike to Concord second falls - Au
Coin Falls.
1st Concord Water fall - the entrance
We had visited the falls twice since hurricane Ivan, more than 4 years ago,
and were curious to see what changes there had been, and whether the trees
and vegetation had regrown.
The difference was astounding! It is a hike that I would recommend in a
heartbeat!
We parked by the main falls, Concord, and started up the trail above, which
will eventually take you to the other two falls - (yes, there are three
falls at Concord.
You don't need a guide for the second falls (Au Coin), but you will
definitely need one for the third falls, as the trail is not well marked.
WOW! Wish you could have seen the rainy weather we have been having recently.
O.k, we didn't take video (forgot), but did manage to take a few photos.
Could have sworn that we had at least 3 waterfalls on our property over the weekend, a smaller version of the Marquis falls and at least 2 that could rival Concord....(o.k, maybe Annandale).
It has been absolutely POURING with rain! The funny thing is that you could wake up the next day and everything is almost back to normal already.....thankfully, the island is a bit hilly, so everything drains off pretty quickly.
Even though we live on a hillside, i can see the benefit of having flood insurance, especially if we get a severe rainstorm.
Sometimes we have a problem deciding where to hang out, like a couple of
nights ago. We were out with some friends and were wondering where to stop off, when we remembered that the Hornibaboon bar was open.
I must admit that the bar has been open for a while now, but you know how it is when something is right in front your nose and you still don't notice it. I'm sure that I'm not the only one out there who has turned the place upside down looking for shades or glasses which had been perched on top of your
head the whole time??! Sounds familiar??
Anyway, we decided to stop off at the Lazy Lagoon (where the Hornibaboon
is).Its on the Lagoon main road (hence the name) has a great view, and the crowd that frequents there, is a nice mix of locals and visitors alike.
We just wanted to stop in for a few drinks, but ended up staying for a meal as well.
In an effort to bring you more webcam views of our beautiful island, we are
looking for sponsors to help offset the cost of the hosting, which is
becoming prohibitive.
All donors will be listed on a special page, including their logos (if any).
Sponsors can also have a banner advertisement for their business, on the
camera view.
